Welcome to Ubiquipharm!

I decided to start this blog for a couple of reasons: Having studied pharmacy a long time ago, and having been around for a while, I believe that my experience will provide something to those interested in pharmacy; Having worked in the Pharmaceutical Industry in South Africa for many years and then transitioning to a Community Pharmacist in the USA, this kind of experience is not common amongst pharmacists; Being privileged enough to have been a preceptor to some great students at Wingate University in Hendersonville, NC, has also taught me a little about student struggles in getting to understand the basics of drugs, practical pharmacology and pharmacy practice.

I call my blog Ubiquipharm because the topics I hope to cover could cover many different aspects of pharmacy and medicine, and could appeal to pharmacists, pharmacy students, nurses (and those in training) as well as medical students.

My hope is that this blog will not just be a one way street, but will be guided by feedback and suggestions. I aim to make it relevant to my audience and therefore will welcome any communication, whether it be positive or negative.

My inspiration for this blog comes from two primary sources: MedEd 101 (https://www.meded101.com) and tl:dr pharmacy (https://www.tldrpharmacy.com). They offer very interesting pharmacy oriented content and also offer, at a very reasonable price, relevant digital products. Visit them and take a look!

I would also welcome anyone who feels that they have something of value to add, to submit any articles for publication on this site.  I hope that this blog will appeal to people from all over the world. I welcome anyone to make suggestions, provide information, submit articles to make this a relevant site for all!
